Embracing Life

Got back on the motorbike yesterday after a three year hiatus (pillion only).   I was nervous at the start and as Jason accelerated through some early curves, was terrified. After a short bout of hyper-ventilating, I reminded myself that being on back of the bike used to be one of my favourite things in the world. Emboldened I opened my eyes and was captivated by the beauty of Central Australia nearing sunset. I relaxed, breathed it in and felt alive, blissfully, alive.

Jumping off the bike at home, I couldn’t stop smiling. I tell Jason that we need to do this every time we start to feel miserable. He agrees, “It’s good for what ails you and for blowing away the cobwebs”.

  1. As you know, Veraina, your Mother, Fred, is currently staying with us and making deep inroads on my supply of drinkable red….
Consequently we – Martha and I – are aware of the goings on with regards to your health…..! Your Mum is a very good mate of ours and she as well as you are in our thoughts and prayers. We will follow this saga and pray that the outcome will a totally satisfactory one. Love & prayers from us both – Philip & Martha
